A Little bit about Salsa Etc...
Salsaetc... was founded 5 years ago by 4 friends who wanted the opportunity to share their love of Salsa dancing. Over the years the teaching base has evolved to include other latin-based dance styles; Rueda, Bachata and Merengue are regularly taught and the club now enjoys a strong local following in the South West of Cornwall.
"Traditional Salsa music is lively and infectious, it’s impossible to stand still.
Modern R&B sounds are perfect partners too, with their driving beats and familiar lyrics –
after all, we don’t all speak Spanish!"
The whole team have been eager to develop the fabulous social side of the club with the annual Summer Ball being a real highlight of the year. The team appear at local charity events, festivals and dance workshops, which have been a huge success and will be hosting Cornwalls Latin Dance Weekend in April 2011. All ages and abilities are welcome; the binding force is the joy of dance.
